i meant just find the app in the firewall rules and set it to 'block' then it cant access the net

My M3 works ok. I found that by just moving the error message out of the way still lets you use the program.

A solution:

Go to [DriveName]/WINDOWS/system32/drivers/etc/ , find the file "hosts", open it with an editor add this line to end of that file:

127.0.0.1 www.vapulus.com

save the file.

Reason:

M3.exe at startup will send these headers to www.vapulus.com:

GET /w900i/m3-version.txt HTTP/1.1
Host: www.vapulus.com
Connection: Keep-Alive

and because there is no such file anymore it will hang, because of unexpected response. this will occur when you are online and run M3, when you're offline, M3 can't connect to that server and there is no hang, so we map a local ip to www.vapulus.com.

blocking this app using a firewal is another solution.

note: if you are using Kaspersky products, first shut it down and then modify "hosts"

i have a new problem with M3. i fixed the crashing issue but now after the conversions are done and the output folder pops up, i cant find the files. Where are they going? im pretty sure that i changed the output settings correctly. what do u guyz think might be the problem?

I block all apps from accessing the internetunless they actually need it to work properly (example Internet Explorer needs it, WORD doesn't)

So I've never had that problem with M3!

Another good converter is Super (c)

To convert for K800 use 325Kbps bitrate, 25fps, 320x240 res. Audio use stereo 64Kbps
