Look closely at your image comparison picture. It is showing the total chip size with imaging area inside. IMX011 is smaller! It's a 1/3" sensor, while the IMX018 is 1/2.8".

k800i/k810i uses a bigger sensor to coupe with the extra 1.2megapixels the k850i has the same sized sensor with 5megapixels it's overloaded.

Yea, i know that is total chip size, but that imaging area inside in IMX018 and 011, for me is like 011 have bigger imaging area
Now i open in gimp and select are 011 and put on 018, and yes 018 is little bigger.

it is correct the k850i's sensor is no bigger than the k800i's one, and for 5megapixels it should be bigger, but bigger sensors will make the phone bigger and use more battery and probley cost more to buy.

hhhmmmmm......

"the size" is not the major fact who good quality the pictures get. (ive seen Leica cams with quite "small" sensors who produce freaking awesome pictures)

K850 have a newer/better sensor then K800, it produce better details, it capture less light eaiser and so on.
