But a 500 if you want to enjoy your car. not just for how it drives but for its looks too. Buy a Corolla if you want to commit yourself to being a granny before your time. Seriously, a Corolla might last your lifetime, but its gotta be the most boring car ever.

I think if you're going to spend a serious sum of money on a car, you may as well counteract your guilt by making it enjoyable.

As pmerryman mentioned. Why not look at the SEAT's and Skoda's.

New SEAT's are built around Audi's new platfrom. Not the old VW Golf platform and you get a lot more for your money on a SEAT.

Used Mk1 Leons can be found from as cheap as £2,000 (Leon 1.4 16v is very low on insurance and road tax as well) and the Mk4 Ibiza is also a good buy atm as SEAT are bringing the Mk5 out soon.
A mate of mine dropped on a brand new Mk4 Ibiza 1.2 Reference Sport from his local SEAT dealer for £6,500 and is got quite a bit of kit in it as well.

SEAT also have an offer on atm where if you purchase a Reference model from the range you get a free upgrade to a Reference Sport model.

I'm looking into a SEAT Altea Reference Sport atm to replace my 02 plate Leon.

Cheers. What engine size do you think it is though

The newer pictures are at the top. The door handles are hand made polished stainless steel and the chrome mirror casings are an optional dealer accessory the facelift models. That is the only chrome bits left on the car.
The rear lights were imported from Germany and are a genuine SEAT light unit and the interior pic is all custom made by me except for the chromed heater controls and obviously the MOMO gearknob.
Was thinking of buying a set of black led side repeaters but I dont want to put too much black on the car with it being Platinum Grey colour.

The choice would be one of the following (its a petrol model so wont list the deisel's):

3.0 V6 turbo 4 wheel drive
2.5 V6 turbo 4 wheel drive
1.8 20v turbo 220bhp
1.8 20v turbo 210bhp
1.6 16v
1.6 8v
1.4 16v

The Fiat 500 Abarth

The sport version of Fiat’s hugely popular minicar has been fitted with an aggressive bodykit that included new bumpers, side skirts, a rear diffuser, wider fenders that house larger alloy rims, a roof spoiler, red mirror caps and Abarth decals. Add the twin exhaust outlets in the rear and this is one 500 that you won’t call cute. There are no images of the interior, but it apparent from the ghost sketches that Abarth has equipped the sporty 500 with a pair of red bucket seats.

The 500 Abarth will be equipped with Fiat’s 1.4-liter turbocharged engine developing between 120 and 150 BHP

And if you really want a performance model then wait for the 180bhp Fiat 500 Abarth SS
