I am on a good wage in my job but i care nothing for designer gear. Why cos i just dont i think wearing clothes to me look just as good bought from your regular high street shop. And that Arte phone well i cant stand the design either and why oh why does anyone need a sapphire on a mobile talk about MUG ME written all over you. Its not born out of jealousy i could get one of these phones on my wage within a couple of months saving but its just not worth the money. People who buy this rubbish are just show offs who think that having a flash car or phone is going to get them somewhere in life. IT AINT. Oh and when you buy the bloody thing it will probably still have software problems. Lol.

what he meant was not many phones have the same built quality and the type of materials used as 8800.
but like i said before, if someone can debunk this '8800 is overpriced' theory then go ahead. go find out how much synthetic sapphires, leather from india, scratch resistant glass and whatever thats used to make 8800 costs.

QVGA is actually correct.. the phone is for people who does not think about the money they are spending because they have a lot to spare. this is not a question of functionality, its a matter of design and built. most of us think it's not worth it because the first thing that comes into our mind is the price. for people who can afford/can throw cash, they will "see",not think, of the design and quality. they dont care about functionality. they have their other "toys" for that.. 'tis mho only..

I ask anyone here, if you have 150E for B&O headphones, would you buy it?
Or, if you have enough money to not be bothered much, would you buy a middle-high class car of your preference? You would, cause it is not about money or proving something to someone (it shouldn't be, if you are normal person) it is about fact that you can and you like. Whatever you say now, it is only your point of view and you can not view it from another because you stand on yours. My point is, if you do not have, you will express it in a way that some of you did, but if you will come in the situation where your individual standard is financially relaxed you will buy what you like and when you like, because you can. And it is not about arrogance, but about the generic human nature.

I think this thread about quality of phone not who can afford or not. Actually arte is for who has lots of money and doesn’t care about function. You know there are lots of people like that. If you care about function then Nokia has another option like E90 or go to other brands. Every people have his/her own choice so branded company try to produce every range of phone example Nokia 1200 to Arte.
May be I can’t afford Arte right now but If I want then I can manage within 2/3 months so I think another people also can do that.
Some time design is matter than function that’s why I got moto V8 because I don’t want Smartphone function from it. I just want a glossy stylish look from it so I bought it. So there are many people who also same wanted to Arte. Everyone know that iPhone functions are outdated but that’s not mean that phone is crap.
The bottom line is every people have their own choice and that’s why there are still can be find many range of phone. What you need just go for it and not need to argue about others one. You can complain when you see that the company doesn’t give quality that they promise on that range.
