Check the file- type associations for coreplayer in the preferences. You don't have to reboot afterwards.

@whatsucka
That was the problem with older version. With the new one as well as with the version before it is fixed.

Hi, I just bought coreplayer to enjoy youtube videos on my P1i, but I don't know how to search a youtube clip. The search icon (see below) does'nt seem to work. I hope it is possible to search a clip, otherwise it is useless..
EDIT: Ok sorry, I found it, you have to enter your keyword in the "invisible" box at the left of the search icon first... Really cool!

I'm really struggling with 1.2.5 CorePlayer on my W960i. It just won't access You Tube at all. When I click on the icon it just gets stuck. It appears that it's struggling to access the network connection.
I've changed file associations and the default youtube setting to flv.
Also - is there anyway to paste in a URL from another site?
Thanks
Derek.

There is. Check the "jot gestures" in the sticky. ..It would've been nice if you could either paste an url of a page, and get a list of the flv containers.. or launch or capture the link to the flash- container from Opera, of course.. but..

Thanks Nipsen!
Now I just need to work out why it won't connect!
Cheers,

Hmmm - just found that it works fine through WLAN but not through Contract Internet/WAP. Seems that there's a few other this is affecting on the CorePlayer forums (I'm on Vodafone UK, the others were on T-Mobile and O2).
Kinda makes the app a rubbish if you buy it for youtube support!

It's the same if you try to connect to some page or other with the in-built browser as well. Because the wap- portal does something with the code, it seems. Some providers have two different kinds of accounts - one for wap and another for data in general. To different prices, and so on.

I have two different accounts - one for Contract WAP and the other for Contract Internet (I use this mostly as I'm on unlimited - well 500Mb). Coreplayer works with neither unfortunately. Considering I bought it for mobile youtube usage it means it's a bit of a lemon!

Anyone know if the Vodafone UK "Contract Internet" account utilises a proxy?
I can't get into the account to have a look as it's locked.
Cheers,
Derek.
