ericsson has great phones except T65 T66. if they would've rebuild there T39 whit a bigger screen and colour, no antenna, then you would have a great phone. ericsson went wrong after the canceled the T36 since then one big disatere. the only reason that ericsson would take sony as partner is for money and that sony uses more bluetooth in there products and that sony does not come out whit a sort of gameboy advance, because erisson is working on the redjade.

R600, T200 and T100 are not made by it self, but by companys from taiwan. i wonder who made the upcomming T608 T316 and the P200

In a world populated by an abundance of idiots, Nokias are popular because they are idiot-proof!:-D This post was posted from a T68i

Its still too early to say that the Sony Ericsson is a fail or a good merriage...but according to the fact that

Ericsson have a good experiance in mobile phone industry which include the style designe and mobile softwar.....& Sony have a very powerfull technolgy...

But they have to improve their way in markting .....

For me i hope that SE continue as one company and try to increase their mobile phone number ( cuz they r very slow in prouduceing new phones)..

Besides, the T39 has a 5-line screen; bigger than Nokia's 6310i. This post was posted from a T68i

In my humble oppinion,
Any merger like this is bound to hit troubled waters early on. Look at what happened to Rover after BMW. As soon as BMW pulled put Rover re launch the MG brand and next years supercar to have is a 1000bhp MG! If SE stick at it they will make things happen. It takes time to develop a new mobile. Same as anything i suppose.
You cant expect SE to develop a phone, mass produse, ship and market it from scratch this quickly. Puttin different cases on phones already in development was bound to happen. Nokia do it all the time for no reason and get away with it.

I half expect Sony to pull out if anyone would. They did it with Ninteno when co making an add on device for the snes/famicom. That then became the Playstation and nearly killed Nintendo and Sega in one.

Only time will tell.

@FunkyBerry

"I think you will find that its Sony that will pull out. If Sony are such a rich company, they haven't got that money by holding onto failing companies. Most people here seem to be Pro-Ericsson. I'm neutral enough to remember that there have been some very gloomy outlooks in news stories about Ericsson's finances and future sucess.

This is backed up by a chance meeting with one of the product designers for Vertu, and his friend who writes 3G applications, who told me things along the same lines."

Vertu is Nokia... just for the record.

i'm just not really sure what Sony have put into it in the firstplace, that's the problem. Ericsson were already set to pull out of the handset market before the joint venture came up, and happily dispense with a tiny, loss-making division of their overall business. Instead they've put all this technology and know-how into "SE" phones, and Sony have... what? Designed bad new covers for them.. come up with a dull new logo.. done no marketing I've noticed, and I look out for it.. the "new" brand manages to combine both names and yet carry none of the weight of either; it's bland and unknown. That is a massive failing of Sony's supposedly all-powerful marketing department.
