I just can't take Samsung serious as a phone builder. I've got a microwave and a video-recorder by them, both great. My wife had 2 Samsung phones ?880 and D-900 both where rubbish with sim/phone management. Setting ringtones was restricted, and the menu was so weird. Not to mention sound and pic quality. I'm sure they improved a lot, a big lot. But I never met someone who said: Samsung is the best. (Should I visit a Samsung forum?)

No dont bother visiting their forums if you dont like them. I like some of Samsung's quality and they do have great technology know how and make quality products. But i just cant get over how despite all this their memory card management is so poor. And Java

Me.

But then only since March this year when I recived a U600 to replace my dreadful W910.

Me and my mate have dropped our U600's countless times. You should see the state of hers, but they both work fine. My camera is dying currently but then my phone is 2 years old.

Old sony ericssons last, the new ones dont. I'd like to see if a W595 will endure what a U600 can.

Ok, I'm happy for you. Really. I knew there must be fans or they wouldn't sell so much.

Owning a Jét and having owned a W995 twice, I think it's safe to say W995 is way better for everything except video playback. Don't understand me wrong, I love my Jét, but it can't compare to W995's look and feel, music player and menu structure.

If you ware bored of SE menu's, it's a good choice I think, though LG's S-Class interface might be more fun to use for a while. Though I don't find it as handy as Samsung's TouchWiz in everyday use.

Anyway, regarding your choice to buy a Satio soon and wanting to try anything else than SE, I'd say go for it

I'm not slagging SE. I just prefer Samsung, they've never let me down.

This is why there are different brands and models I guess. There is always one that suits your needs.

Last time i had a Samsung i never experienced any faults with it just annoying little things about menus that get on your nerves. You still cant beat Sony Ericsson UI But yes Samsung have less faults than most. The Samsung Tocco Lite did have microphone problems cutting out when it first came out for instance. But it turned out it was just on O2. It was an O2 problem for some reason.

Yeahh and you have to wait until it sends a message before you can do anything else. Battery life is poor and poor file management like Bonovox said, also slow when view pictures. But then, you can't have everything?

Also with the tocco lite you can have either a red or green theme? You should be able to make your own like on the soul
