Well its not as bad as the great storm of 1987. That was really bad we lost over a million trees in that storm i remember it. But there has been flooding too but if your on the south coast you bare the brunt of it all. The news just said the strongest winds recorded were in The Needles down south 100mph

Wasn't that a messed up night ?????????

I worked through that storm, very weird, one minute it was ferking cold and the next it had warmed up then the madness started around 2am, the drive home was interesting avoiding all the trees.

Yes the weather man of that time on the BBC Michael Fish said that there was nothing to worry about there is not a hurricane on the way to Britain. But there was. Some woman warned them that there was one coming but the met office said no and got it wrong

Oh my god its still with you aswell Well if you were blown high in the sky you would be saying hihi I would like to see some snow. In the UK back in the 1980s we used to see regular snow every year. Sometimes we had 3 feet of snow outside the front door in the morning. I loved it. Dont see so much now My Hungarian friend last year had snow on Christmas day near Lake Balaton part of Hungary. Not fair. It gets real cold over there.
