Halleluyah ! (or however you spell it)
At last some support for the Satio rather than against it.

My Saito runs fine, they could do with tidying up a few of the quirks, but I'm not hitting any problems. I really don't purchase so close after relaease and expect not to hit problems.

I'd love to get a Satio, ive always wanted a S60 SE. I totaly support the Satio, but simply going by what ive read i feel SE havent done their best, but i would like to see this product succeed, for both SE and Symbian.

Clearly SE have done their best though if you think about it. They've taken their own powerful hardware and added a popular OS which has years of experience behind it.
Dont think because the Satio for some people has some major issues its only this particular handset. All touch screen S60 devices have had many many issues. I dont think SE have made many mistakes at all with the Satio - Symbian have by not fully developing an interface which is up to date with their competitors.

My Satio is also running well. Ok, the battery standby time isn't great, but that's about all complaint I have. I have installed various apps, like Key Lock Clock, Best blacklist, Gdesk, Flashlight, Level, GTx, and no probs. My handset is made week 41.
Oh, and all my standby themes work flawless.
The bluetooth reception is more then excellent. I claim it's twice as good as the P1, and that's not necessary. Also the WiFi reception is way better then the P1. This is things that affect battery life.
My wishlist:
I would like to be able to do a setting in a specific profile, and then this setting is only present in that profile, like having the screen lit when in the car on the charger (I have made a profile called "In the car"). I was able to do that 10 years ago on my Ericsson 868!
I also miss the voice command to call a contact.
I really hope they update the radio app. It's boring looking, and the lack of RDS is embarrassing.
I'm not that upset over the lack of EQ in the Music player, I really like the sound setting, but it SHOULD be there! But I would like a sleep timer!
The inbuilt browser is weird. Make Opera Mobile 10 default! Or let us choose that.
I can probably come up with more if I try real hard....

The Satio DOES have a menu that lets you change a number of default applications, which would allow you to change the video player, web browser, music player and picture viewer - but you can't select Opera Mobile here.
I wonder if Opera is aware of this feature, which doesn't seem to be on my I8910 HD. This would actually be great if you could replace all the rubbish S60v5 default apps with better ones - and might just save the Satio.
How many people even know the menu is there though? (It's Settings/Phone/Application Settings/Default Applications)

Well, what do you know! I didn't know that, and probably a lot more people too! Seems the options just aren't enabled just yet, FW update?

I guess it's a case of wait and see - besides Opera there isn't really anything else out there to replace the other apps with.
Android on the other hand, a very new OS, has lots of music players and video players available now.
I see that
www.my-symbian.com has given up even updating its website with new Series 60 apps - there are so few.

Yeh ... found it late last night, but as mine's still working ok thought I'd leave it
alone until I'd done some "research" today !!!

The menu to change the default menu is there but unfortunately you cannot do much
It lets you change but in the list there is only 1 appllication.
I have installed Opera Mobile and I find it decent in some cases. I wanted to change, but not showing up on the list of applications to change. So I cannot change. So, whether the application is there or not it is not working properly.
