Now were done I think........anything else I forgot to mention?
WOOT my thread is flaming,
Well anyway, so far the P800 is great, however if these very small changes were to be implemented the P800 would be a GOD among mobiles. Size? My P800 is about the size of my IPAQ 5450 and has all the PDA fuctionality AS well as A fully functional phone.
So what are we gonna do about it? When there are no more changes needed I say we all flood SE's tech support email with the message, veryone should send it to the same mail with the subject SUGGESTIONS as many times as they can. How can they ignore a whole communities pleas?

@sage
A few things:
Firstly a new item for the list:
I would really like to have the use of the jog dial extended so that you can go further into programs, etc. with one handed navigation. eg. go into your address book and then scroll through the a-z tabs, then scroll to the name, etc.
- I think sync with Lotus Notes is an issue that Ericsson needs to fix, regardless of whether it is firmware, software or anything else and I would like to see it on the list (you may of course still disagree

)
Lastly I am thinking that perhaps it would be worth while taking a more conservative approach initially with Sony-Ericsson - afterall we want them to support us. Perhaps someone (you?) should send them the list and get their feedback first and then, if they don't respond or are reluctant we could begin a more
persuasive campaigne?
What does everyone think?

so what are the chances of all these ideas being granted. I'm sure most of whats written here are great ideas and users will really benifit from it.

To continue that thought, I would like a function where one could disable/enable the normal function of the jogdial and turn it into a mouse, so you could move through the whole interface using just the jogdial to stear a marker(just like a mouse on a PC). I think it would be very useful for one-handed use.

Very difficult though - don't think the current mechanics of the jog-dial would be very comfortable for regular four-way navigation.
Maybe we should have a rollerball instead....
Have I just had a good idea?

Hehe...yeah a rollerball would be nice.
I don't find using the jogdial for four-way navigation any hard though, I use it alot, especially when manouvering in Doom.

How about being able to store and edit SMS messages in your pc so that the messages you want to archive can be backed up and then erased from the phone? And it's easier to type on a regular keyboard than using handwriting, multitap, or that virtual keyboard on the screen. I believe this is a PC software issue but then again it's still for the p800, right?

I use the P800 without the keypad. Since there is no keyboard lock on the screensaver in flip-open mode I allways have to close the virtual flip before I put it in my pocket. The device-lock is not an option, I don't want to enter a password every time I want to use the phone.
It would be great to have a keyboard lock that works in flip-open mode.
