Aren't there any mods or admins that can stop prowler from insulting other people?
I have used Nokia, Samsung and SE phones and I must say that i was impressed by SE's phones. I would have never thought that I would buy one, but it was the best choice.
I'm interested in the T610, I'll have a look at it when it comes out in Austria and when (hopefully) most errors and problems are erased.

Prowlar, you seem to argue your case with a lot of relative terms. It comes down to taste. Now, it's foolish to say SE is a bad brand because they don't fit YOUR taste.
You say it's ugly, so did I, but whether you like it or not, while beauty lacks, it has lots of style.
You say it's slow, neither of us know that for sure, unless you've actually tried it.
And you say it's buggy. Well, wake up and smell the market, you can't say Nokia is great AND that another brand has buggy phones in the same post...unless you've noticed, Nokia is by far the worst when it comes to buggy phones.
Just to clear my name, I am not an SE fan, I just find that T610 has the features I want in a phone...
Aw hell, why do I even bother? You'll only reply saying Nokia rules anyways...

I just saw that the 7250 does not support Socket in java.
I donīt understand what it is you might say, but it is that important if you want communication to work via java, lets say ICQ clients or buying cinema tickets etc.
And 65536 Colours beat the hell out of 4096 puny ones. The menues in nokia is behind because it is only possible to move in 2 directions where in SE models you can move in 4.
You should also remember that with Sony in the back SE can take a real fight, (remember playstation, when it came the market was owned by nintendo and sega).
The phone has everything you have to buy 4 or 5 nokia phones for to have, like WAP,GPRS,BT and so on.
If u want a MP3 player you add one, if you want the FM player (many nokia fans are crying about the built in 2Ģ radio) you add one.
I remember when Ericsson made some real shitty phones (like the 688).
But its not really that obvious anymore who makes the best phones.
And for last, it is "geek" not "geak"

I think he is only one of the three category and he don't even know how a phone are produced and designed in Nokia and SE.
Sorry dude, I know the sequence due to my job function and I know a lot more than you think you know. So do remember, every Industrial designer is designing a shape they predict will be a trend in future. The trend could be retro type or very cybernatic.
Take a look at 7250 and 6610....they have some look same like Ericsson R520 (minus the antenna) why!? Because Nokia believe this is the time such design sells while Ericsson annouced those design in the wrong time.
So when R520 is out, mass market complain it is ugly but now in the right time, Nokia made a hit for themselve (of course plus marketing...7250 ad is damn cool )
My point is....IF YOU THINK IT IS UGLY. SHUT UP COZ YOU CAN NEVER ASK A INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER TO MAKE SOMETHING THAT EVERYONE LIKE. IF THIS IS A FACT THEN HOW COME YOU HAVE FERRARI BENZ. BMW ETC ETC WHICH COME WITH DIFFERENT DESIGN?!
When you have a faulty unit, send it back. Maybe most country are lucky but where i stay, I only see Nokia user keep on sending phone back to their SC. Why ? different country get their Nokia from different plant. Maybe in your country you get those from plant with better quality control but the fact is, some of the low-end or developing market will get some Nokia from plant that perform so-so only.
SE I do see a lot of complain from everywhere in the forum I visited...why? they have limited resources due to the restructuring and cost cutting. So everything rely on limited resources. Normal fan will give them up....die hard fans will continue to comment and motivate the people in SE thru all this forum like Esato while mass market will only look at what is the best phone around.
BTW Don't make yourself a fool when try to bash a product with the same reason. Tell people more why T610 then I will believe you and stop buying it ok?
For your info, if T610 marketing strategy run nicely in Asia, it will be a hit!!! 7250 with contract is more than a T610 without contract here as far as I know.

@prowler: u really need to revisit all your assumptions on the nokia phones mate.....i've had lotsa nok phones die on me and the main complaint is unreliability....it scores big time in the marketing area as rightly pointed out but other than that....it's just a piece of plastic phone wannabe!!!!
nother thing..haf u ever seen a truly functional nokia phone forum!!!! haf u asked yerself why's that???? it becoz nok's marketing strategies are aimed at the normal user and those that prefer interchangable covers to functionality....think bout that!!!
