Got an e-mail from SE people saying the phone was 2mb. But then they didn't seem to know sod all since they weren't aware of the hissing problem. Bl**dy incompetents!

Agreed - that picture from mobile-review.com looks abit dodgy - have you seen the '4MB Memory' print? looks it was modified via some GFX application.

germany vodafone edition has not more then 2mb. installed all ringers from se website, took some pictures and - oops - just 1,1mb left. read in an early preview about a ms duo slot. that's what is missung. whether you have 2 or 4 meg makes no difference. just sync or download unused stuff and you should be fine.
btw. mem consumption will be also depend on the number of contacts in your phone book (i synced 500 initially

, games etc. strange thing is that the 610 might report wrong values for memory usage of single files. for example some pictures i took say that they are 45kb in size whereas once i connect to my laptop via bluetooth explorer only reports 15kb.
finally: yes, vodafone version has their portal embedded but unfortunately not only that. the whole phone sports at least 10 direct links to vodafone live, ugly and worse not readable vodafone menu icons and the vodafone live link on the right hot button. as you may not be able to change that at all i recommend to avoid the version in favor of a unbranded one.

Do you have the sound 'hissing' problem?
Am thinking of purchasing the t610, but waiting for official news from SE on the sound fix and 2/4MB update?!
