Seems a bit funny to launch something like that on a Sunday! What where the handsets it mentions in the attachment? Perhaps they will have T610s in stores by monday! I bloody hope so anyway!

Recarding O2 excepting anyone even if they have bad credit. I know several people who have been refused contract phones on O2 even thought they have full time jobs! They have no other financial problems too!
O2 Active sounds good, I've been with O2 since Nov 01 and am very happy with the service etc. I have been waited a while (since Nov 02) for a phone good enough to upgrade from my T68 to. And yes it is a T610.

Looks like the t610 will be released on the 1st July on O2 then as a 02 Active handset.
And most likely the phones will have been checked by 02 and have no problems whatsoever, unlike people who have been buying them with naffy branding..unlucky

All this talk about 1800Mhz being better than 900 is just crap !! Sure - 1800 is MUCH better with travelling over distances, but then 900 has a similar advantage in building penetration. 900 is generally better is cities, while 1800 is better in less built up areas. The best network would be a combination of both !

most of the networks do use both, I know o2 do for sure. The way it works is that the 900 and 1800 equipment are located at the same site, your call will originate on the 900mhz layer then handoff to the 1800 if conditions allow for it. for o2, the 900 is the main band used, the 1800 provides extra capacity, as does the newer EGSM fequencies.
