i read on this forum somewhere that when people had received it back that the hissing was still there but not as much and that all the tones and volumes were lower than they were prevesly

Think I will give it the full 14 days then and then see if they have some newer ones. Made a call last night of about 30 mins and after a while you forget that the hissing is there anyway.

is this hissing loud and annoying or is it ok? im expecting mine today from CPW. keep looking out the window for the delivery van to arrive. also what cable do you need to connect it to computer is it the same as t68i or do it have a different connection.

where can you get the t610 unlcoked mate? thinking about getting the t-mobile t610 on their payg tariff but need it unlocked to use with my o2 sim

From? And by? Div or logs, because no one yet seems to be able to do it, unless you are very lucky. Still awaiting a software fix so that this handset will unlock. Hope you are right though, and that you can point me to this unlocker! [:)]

Yup, that sounds more like it - everyone, at least those using div, are awaiting a software fix. At the moment, you try calculating the NCK and just return errors on almost all units - some, however, get through - not mine, unfortunately. Was meant to be last week, now this week for the software fix - but still not come.
I'm not 100% sure if doing it by logs will actually work yet - few people have said it doesn't, but there are a couple of places who reckon that they can, so i might have to give it a try. Been over a week with this phone, and i've barely used it due to it still being locked to the smegging T-bag network. At least it looks much prettier without that T-bag logo messing up the front!

Made a call on my T610 just before lunch today and this time the hissing was so loud it had to hold it away from my ear. Went into CPW a few minutes ago and they will have another one for me tomorrow. It will probably hiss too but might as well try another one now you never know...
