Well we are in a similar situation then,

I have really old tariffs too:

-The first 200 min cross network tariff on L1
-ED50 on L2

and I stay with Orange because I still think there are the best.

I am not interested in carry around part of my house, namely a 3G brick, nor am I interested in Virgin - just price match it if really want (but I presume your current tariffs are better than Virgin)

If that's OB200, then we're in the same boat!

If I were forced on to Your Scam, then I'd leave Orange. It's marginally more expensive per month, you have to pay to listen to answerphone messages, out of minute call costs are more expensive, and it has other disadvantages like 0870 numbers not being inclusive.

They're all small things, but they add up at the end of the day.

Orange keep taking things away - I rely heavily on EveryPhone, and now I'm going to lose it! This might make my L2 ED50 redundant.

And Virgin is a great tarrif - includes 3p texts to other O users too.

Edit:

Forgot to say, I'll be looking very closely for the Z1010 on three...

We are in the same boat, and we are both hanging on to those tariffs like never before!

SE should give you an update soon to access L2, in fact it was stupid things like that, that made me give my P800 back!

I know it all adds up and the smarter few, can see this as clear as day.

In regards to Everyphone, let me just get this straight, is this the process of calling into your answering machine from 'every'phone to pick up messages?

Everyphone is a free divert service. Its being removed thanks to dealers. They used to give people new handsets rather than upgrade them. They would then say to change old phone to virgin and set everyphone. I not sure if we will still have access to it for lost/stolen reasons This message was posted from a T610

That could be one possibility, however EP doesn't deal with things like text messages...

I beleive that they're removing everyphone because recently, international pass through operators with Orange numbers have been appearing. (i.e. call this Orange number and get through to a foreign country for no more than the cost of the call).

This operation is run by them EPing the number to an 0870 from which they get revenue to partially fund the call (and make a bit of profit of course).

I haven't seen many of these though, and it could just be down to the fact that it's not making enough/any profit. France Telecom don't seem to understand the phrase "Value Added Service".

To lay it to rest, the £15 will not be charged for fault phones during the 6 months period you get from ORAnge only if you bought the phoe direct from them. If not you can either go back to shop or direct to manufacturer.

Apparently some Orange users have managed to get through up to 25 handsets per month!!!!

- Direct form an Orange customer service rep!

Can you verify this Orangeman?
