> T610 + silent = draining battery??

Well I got a text from Orange yesterday warning about faulty chargers. They said that if my charger was manufactured by Apollo (IIRC) that I should phone a tech support number to get it replaced. I remember checking my charger and seeing that it wasn't made by the company concerned and so I deleted the message. Check your desktop charger and see who it is manufactured by (It looks like SE sub-contract manufacture of the chargers out to other companies). Certainly sound like your charger is to blame anyway judging by your anecdotal evidence.
BTW: You shouldn't actually be completely discharging your battery anyway - that will shorten it's longterm life (completely discharging a Li-Ion battery is prevented by the circuitry as a complete discharge would actually kill it). Li-Poly batteries don't mind being topped up at all and won't suffer from Voltage Depression at all - it is actually better for them to be put on charge each night - the charging circuitry will ensure that the cells aren't over charged.
HTH.
Edit: After reading a few of the other threads recently I would presume that it wasn't Apollo but Delta that the message warned about (I couldn't remember for sure). This is apparently an unrelated problem though.

So some of you could have the phone on for a few days? Damn... The longest time I could use the phone was 2,5 day. Normaly it lasts about 2 days. The T68 I could use about 5 days!!! I don't call much with the phone, have good reception. I play a few time a day with the phone... Do you think my phone needs to be serviced?

I am getting confused

. Can anyone enlighten me, pls!
Do we have to discharge the battery completely before charging it and turn the phone off while it's charging?

I've got one of those chargers that apparently blow up or something and since day one I only get about one and a half days woth of use out of my phone so I find it a friggin miracle when people are getting between 2-5 days worth of usage.
Although I think the battery life of my t610 and the amount i use it is poor I'd like to add I used the panasonic GD 87 just as much for a while and found my battery died after only 5 hours of use, which makes the t610 look good!

How did you charge your T610? Overnight or just until full battery indicator?

i used to run a T28 before my new T610 so i have no complains about my battery life now, i get 2 full days even with abuse (i.e. flicking on the screen every 10 mins cos i love it and i can
but i have noticed something strange with it, cos i usually charge my phones when i have turned them off first (does it make a difference?)
on a few occasions the red led will go off and the battery looks full (after 5~6 hr from completely empty), i switch it ON to check message, then switch it off again to go to sleep (always sleep with phone off.. i like my sleep)
but when i switch it off and put back on the charger, the battery is only half full again?? and the red light comes on to say charging is in progress????
does that mean my phone wasn't charged fully the first time?? why?
also does charging while using the phone (talking) damage the battery??
anyone

It is same thing I describe in mine case : T310!
Battery has electonics parts: so you can charge it for two days if you wont: when electronics inside battery say stop: then charge is complete! So I always charge phone with power on, chage it aprox 2h and battery holed 2-4 days: if you use camera, or Ir, or playing games then will drain faster!
Battery indicator is only for some degree of status: not really status: I have Ericsson T29 and SE T 100, all have mistake: when you power down and power up the phone: battery meter show half of battery even batery was full: That is bug in softare or hardware: but seems noone in SE engenier want to fix this

I'm gonna have to stick up for the desktop charger thing here. Firstly are you using a offical sony ericsson one? Plus that u sed for school, well I'm using my t610 at college now and it lasts the day and the battery stays on full. I check the screen now and agen and send txts dont use it for talking over much tho. Also you said you were using it at school, well would it hurt to put it on the desktop charger when you got home and charge it over night. I know it should last longer than a day, but would it hurt to put it on charge everynight. I mean you wont be using it at night unless you leave it on. But I have hte desktop charger and have had no bad effects of using it.
