I reckon the drivers for the screen are integrated in the OS, as the controller is embedded? That would make it not very likely to work on the P800.
The T68 and the T68i was the same phone with different covers. Here we're talking a seriously updated version, with new HW.

It's highly likely they will, but we all know that Windows XP was an upgrade from Windows 95/98/2k, and whilst the core is the same, there are severe compatibility issues.
uhm.. 2k and XP r not built off 98....
they r built off NT technology btw
and well, I hv R1B on my P800, and I hv yet to experience any kind of problems (except for hardware failure after 9months of abuse)
think what u want about the P810.. fill ur head with lies that it is the same thing... but we all know it isnt..
we all know it rox.. we all know that the P800 can never compare...
all who say that it can, r just frustrated P800 users who r bitchin cuz they dont want to buy a new phone

I haven't posted for a while so I thought I'd chip in a sensible train of thought to this idea...
Technology *always* moves on, we can bitch all we like about how new and whizzier stuff comes out just after we;ve bought our bit of kit, but hey, that's life..
The t68->t68i issue happened as Ericsson promised that the t68 would get an upgrade to new firmware to support MMS. SE have not promised anything for the P800. Now of course I'd love to see a free upgrade to P810 functionality but for say £20-£30 I'd be quite happy to pay for a P800->P810 software flash. SE are happy as they've made an incremental sale at what is almost 100% profit margin and I'm happy as my old bit of kit is now better. I wouldn't spend the £300-£400 that the P810 will undoubtably cost so SE lose nothing anyway.
I think in the future there will be even more emphasis on software and upgradability than now. After all when you upgrade your PC O/S you don't expect (usually) to have to buy an entirely new PC to run it.
Just my ten pence worth.

I mean, if u can afford a P800, then y not a P810?
...because I spent all my money on the P800, so expect some decent support for it! I believe that having spent that much cash on the P800, I am *entitled* to some decent support..!

Yes you are right if the p810 is something new but its merely a slight smart upgrade with another package i dont thing it has something in it exept new os and 65 k thats why they name it 810 and not 900 just my thoughts.
