D_G ... can you be a bit more specif on what you didn't like about the P900 compared to the P800?

What is WORSE on the P900 over the P800? Does it run slower than the P800? Does it sound worse? Is the screen worse? If someone didn't own a P800... would you recommend the P800 over the P900? Why? Thanks!

Mostly all the reviews i have read about the P900 are from top reviewers worldwide and they seem to rate it quite highly, strange that you do not, however you are entitled to your own opinion. This message was posted from a P800

Sorry D_G, but I would like to ask whether the handset that you tried is a faulty handset or not.

I am concerned because everyone said that the P900 is faster and more efficient, but your's was awfully slower. A faulty phone?

A very good post mmsman

Here is a guy who also know the money problem SE have had. Last year Ericsson was about to close down this company because they couldnt show good numbers.. I dont think many here know that SE was very close of dissapearing from the market.

So before you complain SE are beginning to spit out phones like Nokia with only minor improvements, read your homework about the market and how to survive in it. Market shares, market shares, price war etc. Its very hard.

I think SE is doing a great job and i know we will see many exciting phones in 2004.

Take a momment peeps....pick up your P800 and admire it for a second then slap yourself for ever thinking you would replace it with an "improved" version. So big whoop P900 has a 65k screen and a few other fiddly bits....this doesn't mean your P800 can not match it in some way. I know in the technology world there is no point waiting for new models to come out, you should get the current one (like I did with my P800 not waiting for the P810..now P900 ) but in this situation I reckon you should. I mean just imagine what the next smartphone to be released from will be like! P900 doesn't have any MAJOR changes to jump around the room about. Let me take you back for a second....
Remember the days you had that T68i or crap nokia and dreamt of a phone that would do next to everything. Remember the days you started to see the rumours for the P800 and dreamt about it. Now what a step you have made to have the phone you have now....somehow I don't think the same can be said for P800--->P900 not exactly a GIANT leap for tech-kind now is it.

Stick with your P800 for now. W8 for the next one I reckon it will be a guddan

Frankie,

I agree with you that new Smartphones will hit the market maybe by the end of next year.

Then, I will trade in my P900 (which i haven't bought).

The reason why I would go for a P900 is because I am thinking of owning a Smartphone and i would rather go for P900. This is not only because P900 has better features, it is also because of the fact that P800 has been discontinued.

@Frankie2105

Thanks mate that post was just what i needed

I like many have been so caught up in the HYPE about the P900 that i have forgotten what the ACTUAL advantages of having one are

When i upgraded from my T68i to P800 i could not believe the things this phone could do it was like going to phone heaven at last i could have everything in one unit and the advantages over the T68i were overwhelming and rightly so and i still to this day have never regretted buying the P800

Now to the P900 for me their does not appear to be THAT QUANTUM LEAP that i am looking for and i can honestly say that after buying the P900 i would probably regret it for not giving me much more than the P800 is giving me now

So for the time being i will be sticking with my P800 not in the hope that the P900 software will be ported for the P800 but because it does everything i want it to and for the near future it will continue to do so

some people who are owning P800, even after considering that will still buy the phone. This is due to their perfectionism.

in the P900 spec it mention that P900 support video streaming. Is it EDGE?
is P900 support flash player just like Nokia 9210i?

cheers,

Gl4cier:
I too asked the question about real player, someone posted me back saying that the makers of Real Player had signed an exclusive deal with Nokia phones.

However that is not strictly true as the New Sendo X, does have a real player installed.
