if it helps. i had one of those bogus sticker antenna boosters, rather than giving it to my daughter to stick on the fridge. i stuck it on the inside of the antenna cover (since im not losing anything by doing it) i couldve sworn i gained one bar more

its a placebo, but gave me that imaginary one bar that made the phone tolerable for me. goodluck

I had the same problem...sent into SE for flash of new version and it now works way better than expected. NEVER lost a call since. I'm on Tmobile North America
send it in, it's worth it.
Tmobile dealer will give you a loaner while it is being serviced. It took 5 days, there and back.

I've read a lot of places that firmware updates for the T68i and T306 help the phones keep calls connected even with bad reception. A firmware update won't necessarily give you better reception but it can give the phone the ability to hold onto a weaker signal.

yea...i've got about 3 of those little plastic antenna stickers inside the phone.
and for $40 to send it into SE, i could get a new phone on ebay that i know will get better reception. it's wierd cause i asked the guy if the warranty on the phone would cover the update, and he said it would...the $40 is for shipping? for $40 shipping i'd expect a helicopter to land in the front lawn to pickup and deliver my phone. wtf? ripoff.
i really don't want to get rid of it though...i love the phone, i love the navigation in it...everything i can do with it...but the reception sucks.
