@davieboi: I totally agree with u on design issue man! I mean, they were ugly as hell! I never bought one cuz of the problematic software ...Ericsson phones were always laggy and problematic. Then u guys don`t wanna start on the T68....it was a dream phone and it worked perfect only in the designer`s dreams...it was FULL of bugs, fragile, slow...u name it and the i upgrade resolved some and brought some new issues.Same of them r still unresolved today after 3 yeras..so yeah, I am happy Sony bought the E mobile division.

@deevonn - I have to disagree on the funkiness of SE phones.

I think the word is more unique.

Let’s face it, Nokia, they have one design and they have used that design in ever other nokia which has ever been made and just changed it about a bit, 3210 - 7250, 3310 - 3410, 3410 - 3510 need I go on.

SE they have evolved, the SE t68i - the t610, yes there is a slight resemblance but unlike nokia they haven't just copied it put a few extra spoilers on it and give it some useless features. Also if you look on the mobile market, the main mobile makers, nokia, Se, mota, Samsung. Whilst Samsung have some nice looking phones let down by features. But Sony Ericsson have some truly unique phones, nowhere else have I seen a phone which is as high-tech as the p900, well except in Japan but they aren't out over here yet. Also you said they seem to be following nokia? How? The t610 is made from aluminum (don’t quote me on that but I know it’s made from some metal) not cheap plastic like some nokia is. In my personal opinion I think sony saved ericsson, I'm going to get a lot of people arguing against me I know saying ericsson are great, and I'm not saying they weren't but without sony I think the leaps they have made in market shares and the new audience they are attracting would quickly disappear.

hi ppl, i am daviebois m8 who bought a z600, and its amazin, i dont regret buyin it at all. Anyway, he is true about the ericsson bit, i would never have bought it if it was a ericsson (thinkin about it now, i never would hav bought it if davieboi didnt buy his t610). With sony its all in the branding, and image, they are renouned for making quility products, and sony ericsson would not be like it is without the sony, and i dont think panasonic ericsson would of bin as good, because in my opinion, they aint the best at making phones. And i must agree with davie here, nokias aint the best, i mean my first fone was a 3210, and i was chuffed with it, cos that fone was gud wen it first came out, but then i had a 3410, and was fed up of it after 2 months because it was no different to the 3210, except WAP and sum other useless features, even tho nokia had time to develop between the time of the 3210 and the 3410 (but its only my opinion) and i know loads of people will disagree.

One last thing, you said you hate Sony, which would you prefer,

nokisson

or Sony Ericsson - I know which I prefer and I know what ericssons would now be like if they were under the reign of nokia...

Plastic, featureless, ugly and expensive.

In the past I hated Ericsson because the handsets they created was never user friendly. Then SOny joined the cell phone craze and now I hate the way they price there units.

I did read all the posts and would like to submit my own point of view.
The thing I was most deceived about the joint venture of Sony and Ericsson is the lack of integration. Ericsson invented something called Bluetooth and it took one year to figure out it was a good idea to create BT enabled Vaio's to Sony. More, I am still missing a Camera with BT made by Sony (unless one has come out recently). So, Sony and Ericsson merged, but you still have kilometers of cables hanging around your home if you try to connect all the devices. I also think that Sony has a hard time admitting that other manufacturers have good ideas. They always come up with their own standards and seldom comply with the ones other invented (memory stick, but also minidisc (very few licenses given to others)). So, I think that a little more integration would favor the selling of a wider range of Sony products and help the consumer (i.e. potentially all of us) from looking like spidermen because of all the cables we have at home.

Sony manufactured a good phone, with 1.0 megapixel for Japan... And in Europe it is nowhere to be seen.
These are all just little things but I think they are worth discussing... Unless I am very much mistaken

Yes there is a bluetooth enabled Sony digital camera. It's called DSC-F77. I happen to own the bluetooth-less version, whereby the bluetooth version was only launched after I bought mine.
