Hrmm...to be honest, it doesn't really make much sense!
Still, it's not as though I know much about this...I'll certainly give your suggestion a try and see what happens! I'm certainly quite keen to use Opera - especially its re-scaling of webpages ability.
Thanks, will let you know how it gets on!

It makes no sense to me either, whether or not it was just something they papped me off with or not, resending the settings seemed to work for me.

on your o2 account you will have to attempt to load the o2 website and then, while it's loading, open a different page in a new window. at least thats what i have to do! after other page has loaded you may close the o2 one and browse as normal

That seems a tad complicated and unnecessary to me, I suspect that you are having connection problems too. All anyone should have to do is start Opera and enter the address of the web page that you want to visit.

you;re right scotsboyuk, this is the one and only way to use opera.
as for the other thing, yes it wastes too much battery and also occupies too much space on my p800's limited internal drive.

@ scotsboyuk
do you think that oggplay is more battery-saving than the pre-installed player on the p800?
because this could be a good reason to start using it.

An update to my usage of Opera!!
Ahhh, this is really weird...I suddenly had an inspiration, and decided to switch back to the supplied 32mb memory card and all my internet connections worked perfectly! No need for new settings, no need for anything at all!
But then, I tried re-inserting my 128mb MagicGate card, and suddenly all my internet connections don't work anymore...
I've even tried taking out the memory card altogether, and internet doesn't work again...
I don't understand what's happening! Could it be I updated my firmware with the memory stick inside, and something happened? Again that doesn't make sense, since it shouldn've have anything to do with the memory card, but that's the only thing which I can think of which is different...

@superas_1988
Oggplayer doesn't seem to use up too much battery power in relation to what it does. The music player that comes with the P900 does and adequate job, but I am unsure as to its power consumption levels, chiefly because I so rarely use it, preferring Oggplayer instead.
