There is no sign of a problem with mine either, but the flip definitely hits against the main body of the device and it’s an issue I feel that really needs to be brought to SE’s attention, since it is in effect a design fault.

Mine's broken in the same way on one side, a friend of mine with a P900 has also got his broken, and he takes a lot of care with it =/

Mine ok till now... but this thread makes me cautious. Can someone suggest some good piece of rubber which I can put on the flip to avoid this. Which doesnt look bad. Any pointers on where to find this?
I use the flip with care, but just in case.....

I had never heard of this problem before and I called SE about it and found out suprise suprise that this is not covered under warranty which I find shocking as it has to be a design flaw. Especially now that I see that it has happened to many other people as well
I fot the most part have been very careful with this phone.
The support agent I spoke to seemed to say it was my fault in that I treated the phone badly. I bet he never paid £600 for a phone. Those who do treat them with respect. Pissed me off so much that he even insinuated that, so much so I had to tell him to f**k off and then hung up on him
