probably is an ericsson battery this thread has highlighted how some have the i - pol battery whilst others have the inferrior Li - ion battery.is it a lottery or is it logic?
maybe Orange ones are different from O2 ones or vice versa.

think li-ion batts are more trustable ( they need a bit more attention at charging ), but li-pol can be cherged whenver u just want and last longer. i think, the li-pol technology has been released a bit earlier then the tests delivered the real solution the labs was hoping for. its just a thought, i could be totally wrong, but it do really amaze me, that by a short turning off the fone, the batt loose on power. li-ion doesnt.
@lam hehe, i am on it

all new or expensive laptops come with a lithum polymer batterys. its a newer and more reliable compound than nickel cadium (ni-cad), and lithum ion. but when it comes to phones, theres not much difference. unless you have a smartphone/big screen/more hardware to power...

Hi
Posting this reply with the k700 batt on last leg,
With lights and tones switched off ;-)
The battery i have is original se but its a lith ion
The battery on my previous phones which i have t28,39, 68, 610, and t630 all have lith polymer so why se have you gone back to the past in battery department on k700
AH!
Can't believe this battery doesn't last a day with minimal use and after 7 complete charges and discharges of approx 10 hrs each !

i dare to say, that thebrands doesnt even take care of battery performance. we should buy the fone ( and all of us wanna have the newest one, like children the candy ) and the battery, forget it. 300h standby time. wow. they made some tests, take an average and thats it. once the brands took care of such " unimportant " things, like battery aswell. yeap, the market conditions has changed. but not for the interest of the buyers...

700 mAh is 700 mAh, no matter if it is Li-Ion or Li-Polymer.

Li-Pol batteries are lighter, and more stable. Ericsson pioneered Li-Pols in mobile phones way back in the T28 days.
Li-Pols aren't subject to the 'explosive' nature of Li-Ions... although exploding Li-Ions are just a feature on Nokias...
