If your k700 creaks....just get a think foam tape and attach it to the battery door. i dont know why SE didnt add one for the k700...but they did for the T616/T610.

So is no one ganna tell us how they opened there k700i to remove the dust under there screen, as I would love to know so i can remove mine

Apparently, if you look closely, the K700's front cover is held on only by 6 white hooks.

Take a look, you can see them. But ive not tried taking mine apart yet.

hi all,

i think the clue to dust buildup is... static electricity.

i found this out some time back in the army. the camp i was in is located in a highly dusty area. vehicles throw up a fine red dirt all the time, and it gets everywhere - even into stores we thought were sealed. so i thought dust in my T610 was normal and i'd clean it out once a month. until, one day, i lost my phone's pouch, and got a new one.
shortly afterwards, i began to notice a drastic reduction in dust accumulation, and even after a few months there was none under the screen. then i remembered that the old pouch was made of a rather wool-like material, while the new one was made of leather. possibly, the old pouch was rubbing against the phone, creating static charges (especially on the screen) which tended to attract dust particles to it.
maybe @jwoolley and anyone having this problem could try not keeping their phone in a pocket. a close fitting case or leather pouch *might* help.

p.s. a friend working at Siemens claims this is also why phones and some other electronic devices sometimes hang/reset for no reason, because proper attention isn't paid to the effects of static electricity on the circuitry.

I have tryed mate but i can not seam no open mine also I have been told that there is a hidden screw to 2 some there, so i need to know where they are also

How did you do it? Do you pry the clips sorryds? How hard did you push? Do they make a 'snap' noise once unhooked? I had a go at doing it myself a while ago, but didn't want to push the clips to hard in case i broke them...

Also, what did you use to clean the screen with?
