I have read in this thread that the Blackberry technology has worked successfully on the p900. I currently have a P900, and my office is already using Blackberry devices in conjunction with an inhouse Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) and Exchange.

The only thing I seem to be missing is the functionality on my phone. Any ideas if there is a download or firmware upgrade that addresses this?

Thanks in advance!

yes you need the right software, but you also need the blackberry enterprice connection added to your subscription, or else the pouch mail from the BES will not work. You can get the software @RIM or maybe another source on the web.

Hi Everybody,
apologies for the very very very late reply guys... here's some screen shots I took a few weeks back when I was fiddling with my corporate vendor's demo P900 with BB Connect Client installed:

Cheers

And yes, I treid my very best ripping the app out of the P900 and tried it on my P910i but it fails miserably... here's a screen shot of the failed attempt:

Here's the important question.. What and where did you get the software to test out? I know SE purchased the license for the software, but I have seen no sighting of it. I'm not sure if you had a Blackberry Enterprise account because apparently that is what is working now. As far as the personal Blackberry Web client software it seems to be non-existent. And another thought do you have the latest firmware? Apparently the latest firmware does add BB support..

@BigFeat, same as you, I've posted in my-symbian asking the exact same question about what does SE mean by BB Client support cos after I've flashed to R2A17 firmware, there's still no sign of BB Client anywhere in the phone... or am I missing something here?

Yes my corporate vendor is our local service provider of BB (and yes, my corporate is using dedicated BB devices with Enterprise Server connected to our Exchange Servers) and the demo set is the only set he has and he does not have the installtion .sis file as yet for me to test it out on my P910i. What I did was manually browse thru every single folder of his BB enable P900 and copied out everything I could that were related to RIM or BB/Push Mail, etc and place these files into my P910i. But still it fails to startup as per the above attached picture

By the way Symbianware posted this great "explorer" type of software that allows one to view their Pxxx from their PCs. It includes all the features that you normal Windows Explorer window would. Makes navigating the Pxxx much easier with drag and drop interfaces from your desktop to your Pxxx. Check it out...

As far as BB I'm guessing we should see SE come up with a solution sometime before the end of the year. I'm pretty sure they are getting tons of feedback from disgruntled customers that have been sold on the idea the technology would be implemented, but to be snubbed at the bat.

You have to download from Handango. Search for Duality for UIQ devices in Handango, and you'll find it.
