@amnesia

Speculation is one thing, but I don't think it is wise to base one's decision on speculation. If the chap desperately needs a device with Wi-Fi, for example, and he waits for the P1000 in the hope tht it will have Wi-Fi, he might very well be disappointed if it doesn't. If he doesn't 'need' a smartphone, only 'wants' one, then he probably should wait for the P1000, but then again none of us can say with any certainty when it will be released, how much it will cost and what features it will have.

no no, maybe you misunderstood, I was saying what I at LEAST wanted from the P1000 not what I thought was going to be available.

Plus I know MSA and he's a university student, I'm pretty sure it's more of a craving for technology rather than a necessity (spell?).

oh and Bahrain where he lives is going to be the first country to be covered completely with Wifi stations, which is an added reason why, it would be best to wait to see if he can get a bit more info on the new gen P series. Who knows, if he waits a bit and finds that there wont be, the P910 will be bound to be a bit cheaper.
He might even be able to buy everyone a few rounds

Just one more thing, the Moto MPx with WiFi and BT (and GPRS but not EDGE) will be released in a 32MB RAM version in Dec 04 and 64MB version in Q2 05. This PPC smartphone has been delayed many times because of the technical challenge of integrating BT with WiFi and GPRS in s small portable form factor.

I understood your point, I was just making a general point that it isn't a good idea, in my opinion, to base one's decision on speculation.
Interestingly a lot of people want the P1000 to include Wi-Fi, hopefully SE will take note (or already have done).

well guys I only slept for few hours and now the thread is 3 pages!!

what im saying is not only we should expect new things and features.. but at least we will have a better cam, bluetooth, and some new features as amnesia stated, also he's really reading my mind if I couldnt get those features then I wont lose coz the P910 will be cheaper.

Im not interested in 3G that much as long as we have only one provider for it and its too expensive rather than I cant use it coz it has a very few subscribers.. but im interested in WiFi as its spreading in malls now.

We have to remember that every type of tech has to take some time before it becomes near perfect the smartphones built with cameras and such features have'nt been out that long and they are still under development before they reach out the least satisfying.. and yes if SE makes a conference and say that the p1000 will be out after a long time 8 months or more then I might not wait and get the p910.

Imo the p900 and p910 are just updates.. I cant call them upgrades, because of the only few improvements, but I guess that the p1000 will have to be an upgrade and SE can't just bring out a phone with out the features available in the other latest smartphones like WiFi and so on.. so we can't say that we dont know what the next P series will have at least we have an idea.. for it to compete it should have those features

@mrmobile, well is it logical that they've just released a phone and after less than 3 months they release another phone of the same type ?
