It was in Sweden initially priced in the range of 500 Euro, but recently updated to about 680 Euro, SIM-free.
That makes it more expensive than the P910i and the Z1010 (both SIM-free........).

yeah.. se do have a plan.
they position it as a megapixel digital camera with a huge screen and zoom and storage and all the nitty gritty of a true sony digital camera PLUS a gsm phone!
so... u don't have to spend time connecting your 'digital camera' to the computer using bulky cables, u just click a mega sized super clear pic using your 'digital camera' and send to any device with a click of a button!
voila!
maybe they're targetting digital camera owners, experienced or first time.
all said and done, i still have doubts about the success of this model!

i dont think it will sell in massive amounts but it will make money for se. they have already been selling the phone in japan for a while so most of the development costs will have been gotten back and europe and the us will just be profit generating.
its a bit large for me and i aint a fan of the swivel thing just something else that can go wrong
but i can see it appealling to alot of people and i be the style mags all jump on it like they did with the old motorla swivel thing
i bet we start seeing a few d list celebies ( ie big brother contestants, soap stars) in the papers and mags carrying them shortly

if u r smart, don't buy early or get cut deep.
just look at K700. priced dropped like about 30 per cent since launch because Nokia drop the price of 6230.
I think everyone is aware that Nokia is using pricing to gain back market share.
There will be a few more high end Nokia 1Mp yet to be announced phone coming on stream so phone like 7610/6670/6630/6260 (which S700 will be competing with) will have reasonable pricing.
So SE will have no choice but to reduce price. So be smart, dont be like those who bought T630/K700 when it just came out.
