The greatest thing I've ever seen was on Alcatel EASY DB. If you remember it, you could put 3 plain alkaline batts size aaa instead of it's ni-cd.
That's compatibility.
I sometimes wish my t610 has thet solution as option, since I'm using color/poly/gprs phones I often run out of batt when I need it most.
