I've not inquired if it was unlocked actually
Should have done as my unit is locked to vodafone and my impression was that their entire stock are locked to vodafone, but an offline phone shouldn't be sold locked...... hmmmmmmmm, will ask next time I'm near there

The V800 is an exclusive via Vodafone until the Spring next year, so if your holding out to get an unbranded one then dont hold your breath.
I have the phone at the moment and the only disappointment compared to my S700i is the screen size, its the same as the Z1010. On a plus point it accepts the Prod Duo memory stick so you can get a memory stick of 1gb ;0)
The DRM facility works with MP3's aswell without any issues for this phone.
On a last point I have read that Vodafones 3g phones are not network locked.
I would have liked to get the Sharp but it is bulky and only has the one screen, which is strange for a clamshell.

Since you bought the V800 Vodafone, it is sure is locked to Vodafone only. Other sim card is not accpetable unless you have unlock from vodafone or any cable device you have paid for..
