Yeah, guess we'll have to wait for a new batch, as i said in an earlier post, Vodafone are aware of the problem and will fix it with the next released firmware. Could be a month or too though
And yes, it seems to be just Vodafone...

bbasra, there is nothing to do with firmware, it is 100% manufacturing fault imo i think u should return it back to the shop and get a fresh one, even my k700i has got the same problem but in my case the dead pixel was always visible

Surprise - The pixel is completely gone! Why does everyone think this is a hardware problem. It is 100% software. Its the software that draws the display not the hardware.
Anyway, I'm happy now. No more Vodafone crap. No waiting 2 months for thier new firmware. I am happy in the fact that Vodafone are going to waste £1000 in exchanging S700's because the operators are not astute enough to realise what the problem is. Serves them right. Anyone want to know how, let me know. I'm either being stupid or I can't post a new topic on S700 debranding.
Besides that I have a new game, darts and the camera is soooo much smoother than before.

Now that this issue has been confirmed as a software issue, let us know how and where you done this and does it void your s700i waranty?

I assumed it was a dead pixel on the CCD chip, but am glad to here that a firmware upgrade may fix the problem. I currently have R3B032. I'm guessing that quite a few S700i owners have this issue and not noticed it yet. At least I have the DSS-25 already when new firmware is released.

I've just noticed my dead pixel on my Voda s700 as well.. useless bastards
