Of course there's a big difference between S700i and K700i... I moved wallpapers from my K700i to the S700i and it's so clear that S700i has a better color rendering and gradation. And it's obvious to my eyes.. is it just my eyes or...??

And... you said there's no difference between 16-bit and 32-bit? Are you kidding me...? There's a VERY BIG difference between them. blah...

Well.. If a screen has 176x220 it is only possible to view 38720 different colors at once if you are viewing a different color in every pixel. So the important thing is NOT 262k or higher color resolution but rather a 24bit palette for the internal calculation of pictures and
cameras. And of course the ability to view any color from the 24bit palette. If they use 16bit palette then color gradients will of course be much worse because of less colors used.

What I mean by this is that K700 would not show a picture any better
if the resolution, brightness & contrast was the same and they only upped the screen to a 262k one..
This again asuming they handle colors in full 24bits and not locked 16bit palettes.

I think we should compare the s700 & k700 not just for screen size and quality but by the other features as well. For example, I understand the s700 has a 1.3 megapixel camera as opposed to the vga camera of k700. What I am worried about in the s700 is the swivel type feature ... how sturdy is it? Its scary to think when there are moving parts to a phone, it makes it more susceptible to damage and/or accidents. ANother thing is that its sad that up to now we can't customize the sms tones. Other brands are able to do this so I wonder why se hasn't made this feature available yet.
