In fact, I thought that was standard, as you clearly haven't changed tariff to save money on the phone price, as you purchased it on Anytime 30 (and therefore got a minimal subsidy, presumably).
So, I reckon they're takin' you for a ride mate!

Jon, a local vodafone representative said Vodafone has a 6 months exclusive (not 3 to 4 months). I would have thought the policies are the same for the entire company though and not different per country?
On the firmware update: I know new firmware is being developed for the V800. Do you know or can you find out what the changes will be?
Is Vodafone UMTS taking off well?
Is the V800 a success in number of sales?
Are vodafone planning on more
UMTS phones? If so, can you say when?
Why do vodafone (at least here) put limits on browsing outside the vodafone portal? (they charge extra for it over here!) Surely any company can appreciate the fact that customers might want to see a bit more of the mobile world than Vodafone games/ringtones/prerecorded TV streams??
Why does the vodafone content seem largely aimed at teenagers? Is that vodafones core market for mobile data?
Do vodafone only ever sponsor sports teams and athletes that already have red club/team colours?
Will vodafone offer the white and copper V800 models as well soon?
Why is the vodafone red rings theme, that is not displaying properly, predefined and stuck on the phone memory? Who makes the predef themes? And who chacks them?
Why do the animated 'organic themes' only display animated highlight bars in one menu (the games menu) instead of all menus?
Will there be live TV channels available on the vodafone portal soon? Or will it be limited to 'vodafone special content' channels?

Funny that. Over here they changed the TOS recently and for all new contracts it is the new rule: you can move up and down the tariff scale but you can never, during the period of your contract, go below the initial contract you closed.
Older contracts could (and have) go up and down as they pleased. This is specifuically mentioned at the sale though so you know what you're signing yourself into.
I didn;t think they could alter the TOS for existing contracts like that?
That's grounds for termination here.... T Mobile has tried that too (3 months cancellation instead of 2) but they have had to revoke that for all existing customers.
I would have thought the same (or similar) would apply for UK based customers?
What is your law on that?

I wish all vodafones would be similar. I'm on vodafone Egypt and there is no such thing as contracts, the best thing about is you can get a phone cheaper than if its sim free but no no contracts for us
