I suspect that as with nearly all other Nokia's (bar N-Gage) the MP3 player is mono, whereas the S700 MP3 player is stereo. I'm still in shock that anyone can produce anything claiming to be an MP3 player which plays back in mono, but the Nokia 6230 and 6260 to name but two, have mono MP3 playback which is rubbish. The only disadvantage of the S700 is that it only supports MS Duo, not pro, but you can get 128MB MS Duo for about £30 now so it's not a major problem.

For example I had Siemens SL45 - FW 56 - Book reader, English-Rissina-English, German-Russain-German Vocabulary, mp3 player, a lot of Games...
But week ago my father bought S700i for me... It was a present for New Year... hat's why I'm using this phone. If I had a chance I'd throw it out. This phone doen't costs 600$
Iäm reallz dissapointed with it...
Itäs Worst phone iäve ever had =(

S700 definitely is a great phone, maybe some of the best available out there...
