Nature, my brother bought my mum/dad a video+ recorder (it's a video where you type in a number published in the paper for each programme and it sets itself) but she even finds that too confusing.

I'll have a look, thanks. I have no budget limit but I need something really simple and I guess that will mean relatively cheap. It's no use me getting her something with camera/mp3/games etc.; she'll get sacred and decide it's too complicated without even trying.

How about a

T100? I don't think they're too hard to use, not too many features, and a nice little phone.
Failing that, the Nokia 1100 as many have suggested before, easy to use, even has a little flashlight too!

The Siemens A60 on Virgin at £39.99 looks like a good bet.

just so you know cpw do the n1100 on all nets for 30 quid (50 on o2)if you buy a tenner of credit at the same time (so 40 quid then)!
the phone is just a standard unbranded one with a sim pack thrown in seperatly so you could just buy it and if you really want it on 02 just buy a cheap sim somewhere else or put an old one in.
ive been playing campaign snake non stop since i bought it. my mum might not get a present this year!
