I'm with SsTiTcH there. I may take up a low-end once in a while, maybe as a backup phone, but I stick with the power-devices.

There wasn't a single word in that article about SE concentrating on low end phones, leaving the mid and high end market to others. All it says it that SE will expand it's portfolio to also include more low end phones to gain market shares.

Hate to disagree with you Thullan, but it does clearly state there will be a "specific focus on the cheaper end of the market."
In other words the implication is that SE' focus is now changing and they will be moving away from high end phones.
Later on the article goes on to say...
'Targeting the lower end of the mobile phone market marks a change in direction for the company, as it had based its previous success on handsets with cameras that had been aimed at the mid and top end of the sector.'
Seems fairly clear to me.

Would have thought the market was flooded with cheap tacky phones, look at all the Nokias and "LG" (dont they make fridges)? etc. Its about time companies started putting out more quality phones like the p910i, Nokia 8910, Motorola V3. Although I suppose if they did everyone would have one and they wouldnt be so exclusive. Just wish there was a little more choice or maybe I'm just a phone snob!
