> Should I still get the S700?

me I'd go for a w800 or a K750, but I prefer that form factor. If you like clam shells you will probably like the s700 the same, as long as you can flip it open one handed like clamshells.
It is better than a lot of clamshells, since anything short of actually entering numbers or text can be done without opening the phone, as the joystick and navigation buttons are on the front cover below the screen.

Thanks for the link Sapibo. I do like the pictures he has taken illustrating the capabilities of the S700i.
The nice thing about the S700 is the great View finder and the way it feels like a digicam when taking a snap.

Yeah but his contract runs out soon and the k750i and w800 aren't out soon.
@JasA - If you want the best phone that is available now then yes get the s700i it amazing, i wouldn't swap mine for anything, best phone i've had. Sure I'd like a W800 but i can't have one because they're not out

I prefer the K750 and W800 myself because of the form factor, but someone who likes clamshells would probably prefer the S700 (if they could put up with the 1.3MP cam, compared to K750 2MP one)
To me, form factor is one of the most important factors (providing it has the technical abilities I look for), and the SE have the best candybar phones on the market.
I hate opening phones to use them, which is why I like the candybar form factor.

Well I'm still waiting on my S700

Stayed in all day yesterday waiting on the delivery, but nothing. Phoned them today: "Yes sorry about that, we're actually out of stock so can't give you any firm delivery date" - I'm not impressed.
@maxwedge - yeah I like the fact that a lot of things can be done without actually opening the phone. Can the phonebook be accessed to pick a name without actually opening it too, do you know?
@Sapibo and Goldenface - I thought the pictures Robert Clark took were amazing. The colours were vibrant, and I was particularly impressed with the depth of field which was evident, as I think sometimes this is lost on 'camera phones'.
I didn't want to wait for the W800, as nice as it is, because I'm really not fond of candybar phones, plus, as was said, my contract is up NOW and I want my S700!!!
Cheers,
Jason.

Hi,
Pls go grab a S700 NOW! NOW! it's a great phone! except for the display size of the video and the fact that you can only expand the external card to a max of 128MB. S700 only takes MS Duo not MS Pro Duo, pls be VERY careful when buying more memory.
For the display szie, you can get info on how to get a bigger display size on this website.
Still, on the whole, it's a great buy!
Rgds,

Yes, you can access the phonebook without open the phone. You can do alot of things without open it. Mp3, radio, view pics, play games, take pictures, take videos, watch videos etc etc
With the joypad you can get to all functions in the phone. The one thing you cant do is to type sms
