> next Pope - from where?

OK, let us try to stay decent from now on.
The next Pope will be elected from the criteriaes the chosen cardinals follow.
Wether he is coloured or not is not the issue.
I'm not in to these things at all so I'll stay out of it and I suggest everyone else who has nothing constructive to say do the same.

Catholic church doesn't even allow woman priests...
Well let me say, I'M a catholic, and i don't care what color the future pope is.
The choice of a new pope will be sustained by a lot of variables, and every origin of a future pope has it's advantages/disadvantages.
Maybe you didn't know but Karol was the first non-italian pope (i remember hearing this somewhere).
The cathollic church was born in Middle-east and then spread around Europe by the first roman emperor. For centuries catholic church was the religion of all of Europe, until some dissidencies appeared.
The eastern europe (named orthodox) maintained the old ways, while the anglican church appeared because some English king wanted to get married again after killing the queen, and the pope didn't allow that (it was against catholic religion).
Then the Portuguese (

) and Spanish spreaded the catholic religion around the globe namely Southern America and Africa.
So everyone in the globe were "catholisized" at some point, except the Middle east catholics, and everyone have the same right to get a pope elected.
just my 3 cents... (they were 2 but the post got long...)

Not that I want to be a part of this debate, but I would like to add something on the idea of a woman Pope ... there has already been one. Who can find out the details first?
