@ rrojas260 i did a bit of research into creatine and to be honest their isnt a very clear view on it. The main point to remember is that it is a relatively new supplement and so no one can say for sure whether it will cause long term detrimental effects to your body. Certainly it isnt recommend that you use it for more than 2 months at a time ie. 2 months using it then 2 months off etc. Also one of the main effects of creatine is increased water retention within muscles therefore a lot of the results you think you are achieving are infact just water and so as soon as you come off the supplement you loose most of what you think you have put on. On the plus side creatine helps you to train longer and harder which will result in definite gains. However having used creatine for a while i decided to stop as i felt the increases it was giving me in terms of my acheivable work-out intensity were not sufficient to justify the price i was paying for it. I now only take protein supplements. In particular you want to get 100% whey protein as this is the best type of protein for the body to turn directly into muscle. Hope this helps.

Tom

Hi.. This is 4 those people who r confused on whether 2 take dietery supplements or not.. Firstly, supplements r "not" the necessary prerequisites 4 bodybuilding. If u have a good diet thn nothing like it.Here "good" means consuming according 2 RDA(Required Daily Allowance) with a higher content of proteins! Secondly, most supplements(not steriods) are extracts from natral food itself,e.g. creatine monohydrate is present in our body itself. it helps in extraction of energy from the digested food(converted 2 ATP). Now if v increase Creatine in our body with the help of supplements, v get energy at a higher rate in shorter time, thus helping in exercising! Now pls note that "supplements r not food substitutes"..! So a good diet is paramount.! Thirdly, its alwaz safer n beneficial 2 consult ur instructor as to wat type of supplements,if at all, are required by ur body according to ur physique n activities..! All The Best!

Might I recommend the bodybuilding website, bodybuilding.com
It contains articles, workouts, an online shop and information on diets, supplements and everything else you need to know about bodybuilding
