whle replying to this thread yesterday I was able to create a 26 page 1012kb MMS message on my K750 and I could have done more if I had the time
I'm not sure the thread starter was suggesting he couldn't create larger than 100kb but rather, that he couldn't send or forward them, so in this case I don't think the phone is at fault or that any firmware upgrade is required
as suggested, I tried sending a 380kb MMS message and it did appear to be sent from the phone as it was sending for quite a while before an error message came back
I rarely use MMS so have nothing to offer here except these observations and a link to the
SE developer PDF document which has links to the UAProf definitions as of March this year, just for interest

And since K750i is not listed in that PDF, I can provide you a link to it's UAProf,

The difference between me and several in this thread and even this forum is that I go to the source. I never guess, speculate, figure, or wonder. I call, check, ask and then become an informed individual instead of posting questions to easily answered questions. As you see, people here are posting so-called facts that which in turn happen to be incorrect. I know from SE that they have not imposed a restriction on their phones, but that the operators have due to the totally outrageous phone bills that can happen when using MMS. I guess I should have suffix'd all of my posts with a disclaimer:,

I can't even create MMS larger than 100kB in the phone!
1. I open the new message menu and chose new MMS.
2. I chose "Add" and add a big picture (taken with the camera) and the phone asks if it should reduce the picture.
3. I chose "Yes" and the phone starts reducing the picture. (MMS size now 39kB)
4. I do step 2. again.
5. Same as step 3. (MMS size now is 73kB)
6. Step 2 again.
7. Step 3 starts. When the phone have tryed shrinking the picture for a while it stops and a message appers telling that it can't add picture cause the message will be to large!
Can someone please help me and tell where the problem is and whom I should turn to to get it fixed?
Again: I can send large MMS with the same SIM and network (Telia) with my K500i
In my network Telia there is one fee per MMS regardless of the size on the message.

k750 is not a 3G phone ...
Networks often limit the 2(.5)G MMS to under 100kb
Comviq only guaranty to send MMS under 40kB here in Sweden....

You are acusing people of not getting the facts right and telling everybody that your truth is the only one, but this time you are so wrong,
THE 100KB LIMIT IS IN THE FIRMWARE NOT IN THE NETWORK
I just sent an 187kb theme file as an mms from my P800 worked as a charm, i remove my simcard and put it in my K750, when i try to create an mms using the same file the phone says "Can not add objekt, message is going to be too big"
Maybe this limitation is not in the FW for all markets but in the unbranded FW for Sweden it's definitivly...
So please everybody accept that this is an FW limititaton and not an network one, atleast for some of us!

Just got off the phone with SE here in Finland and Sonera. The limits are set "SOMETIMES" by the firmware and all the times by the operators. While in Kuwait, 100kb was it. This is up from the paltry 50kb limit. The main reason for this as I said before is due only to the unsuspecting phone bills that drop at the end of the month. People sometimes do not make the connection that an MMS is not an SMS, and are billed differently. Another thing is that some operators do not allow sending MMS from one operator to another, especially when roaming or from one country to another. With this being the case, I will back down a notch about things being completely firmware restricted, however the limitation is always with the operator.

@the morgue. How did you do the update? Is your phone still branded? I tried to update the Orange FW of my K700 using SEUS but it was still branded when it finished.
