I had the same problem with a T39m in the past and my nearby SonyEricsson Service Center told me that to fix that kind of problem i had to pay almost 125 euros
So i bought a new one for 50 euros on Ebay and it's 100% ok

To build 2 together seems for me the best and only solution.

My R310 had been tested somtimes. I dropped it in the water in a swimming-hall (or how do you call it). I wasen´t swimming, so my friend had to catch it with his feets.

(it sank to the bottom, 2 m)
But I worked ofcourse!
And I have dropped it on the asphalt many times, because I was a mountainbike-cyclist before.
I swapped it once, because of software and hardware problems. (like buttons not to work, freezing, loose "hook" on the backside (because of the /// adventure-kit) and so on. But /// gave me a new phone.
I still use it sometimes, and I´m glad I still have it! I bought mine in june 2001, for 1040 SEK. (about 150 dollars)

@Boba :
Wouldent it be the best to look for another one, although they are soldemly seen on the open marked, but i see them once or tvice a month in varius conditions..
I think that that will be the way for me
I must have one
