Yes, the RDS issue is a valid ground to sue SE for not selling their product as advertised. They know this, and that's why their going for another update. They'll definitely fix this in August.

@ahmed-sama, some people have this problem whereas some do not. My guess is that this may be a hw related problem. Check this link:
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=150932&start=15
That is why I am suggesting that we include the hw rev. as well as the fw version when discussing problems.
It's not certain but I have a feeling that the hw rev. differences are significant enough that we all do not experience the same bugs.

@makbil
I second your motion.
@ahmed-sama
You should totally do that, makes perfect sense. What's your hardware version anyways?

Hi all!
From what I've been reading it seems to me that I should skip upgrading
from my current R5 to R6D23, right ?
Or is there something in R6 making it worth upgrading to, my R5 is working quite well for now.
I also have a comment regarding classification of bugs, surely a bug that makes the phone unresponsive (freezes), crashes or restarts should be on top of bugs to be fixed ?
Regards

@mattiL:
The general rule of software upgrades: if you're happy with your current version then you don't need to upgrade.

I have still R5 which has problem with Edit before call as following:
1. Only FO mode/ Calls has this feature.
2. Only new digits could be appended or deleted one digit at a time starting from the last digit. There is no cursor and there is no way to add/edit some digit at the beginning of phone number. That is, it is impossible to add an access code for IDD/DDD call or add country/area code before the existing called numbers.
3. If the phone number is deleted completely then the phone exits edit mode.
Could someone please check if R6 still has the same problem. Thanks.

Sometimes when i enter text in opera web,the space bar doesnt work... for eg,when typing a search query(sony ericsson) in google, it types as"sonyericsson" even when the space bar has been pressed.but if u press the space bar first and then write around it,it comes out fine.its so irritating...does anyone else have this problem??

hi, i have the same problem that ahmed-sama and is not a bad flash because i have reflashed many times, no restore, no 3rd party apps, and most of the time is at night, i wake up and is freezed. i think the only solution is restart everytime i go to sleep and everytime i wake up, just takes a minute but i think is not fair for the money i paid. one question, phone is more stable with or without the flip? maybe that can help. thanks
