My Prototype R520m has the original protype firmware and I have no intention or upgrading it as I want to keep it completely original.

@wapt thats right, but its unfortunately possible that the fw "dies", so an upgrade is actual. @alkis the imei starts with 00, the fw is r1a as i remember.

I once tried to upgrade the fw of my R520m proto, and the technicians told me they couldn't.
btw mine has R1J firmware
