I cant update my k750i it stops at 37% then jumps to 40% and then error. Its the same when im run the recovery. SO now Im stuck with a half working phone. The camera is corrup bur the rest seems to work.
Software:

Camera : 4.4 *should be 4.5*

i was trying to update my f'd up k750 recognises as w800 but i got stuck at the screen where it says Welcome to the Sony Ericsson Update Service. it'll just hang there forever, the jaya based seus wont even load. any idea?
to make it simple, im stuck after i've checked 6 checkboxes and click next.

I had the exact same problem as you. I found this on another site and it worked for me. Make sure you back up your data before doing a master reset! Also, after I updated my software on my phone, my phone lock code reverted back to the default '0000'.

- Removed my 1GB MemoryStick Pro Duo
Master Reset:
- Menu -> Settings -> Master Reset -> Reset All
- Enter code 0000
- The Phone said: "Memory Cleared" and restarts by itselfs.
- When it restarts, just turn it off.
Updating:
- Go to SE update site.
- Did the "Recovery Mode"-update
- It went till 39%, then it freezes for like a minute and went to 42%
- Then runs smoothly to around 60% and jumps to 100% and says it was 'Update Complete'.
- Remove battery and put it back
- Turn the phone on
- Do another Master Reset to get all languages back
Now the phone is working again with R1N and camera 4.5

for those who experience problems...please do master reset (default code:0000). BACKUP FIRST!!

Do a settings ONLY master reset not a full master reset...
There is no reason why anyone should have to do a FULL master reset....

Reset settings
Reset all
Choose Reset settings...
