I agree, I'm prepared to wait until the phone is right, what is getting on my nerves is the constantly moving release date and confusion (or lies) as to why/when, the way it's going I'm starting to wonder if it will ever happen... I tried to get hold of the woman yesterday who gave me a good deal 04/10/06 and she hasn't got back to me yet....

What's annoying me is the moving date - I don't care for the (fake?) reasons. I just want a firm date. Now that date has been pushed forward and forward....

I don't think that o2 are working hard to perfect the phone for us because if SE could perfect it already, they would have. You'll get almost the same bugs (maybe new ones) and same issues as any on release now. Im guessing its as simple as o2 uk cant get enough stock.

Quick question
Is it possible to transfer your number to another network but still keep the o2 line? Or does using the PAC cancel your o2 line?

Ps, I was just told dec 15th now its getting funny.

@londonlad123,

Getting a PAC just enables you to keep your number which ever Network you move to is where your service/line will be as this will now be the network you are on, i don't see how it could be anything else unless you thought it was just your billing that changed.

I also agree the fact that the Networks that have not released it keep changing dates and giving different reasons has been very bad customer service and only liking to cause anger in there customers it also makes no sense.

With all the delays and changing release dates, plus the false rumour of the now legendary week 48 update. I do believe there must be something pretty major in the pipeline although it does appear to be takeing a long time to resolve. Who knows maybe Santa will have something nice for us before Christmas.

Marc

By line I meant the contract not the actual connection. Is it possible to transfer my current o2 number to another network AND keep the current o2 contract but with a new phone number?

Cheers if you know.

Sorry didn't understand what you meant as far as i know they will only issue you a new number with a new contract and you can't get a PAC code before the end of contract unless you pay the rest of the contract off.

I also cannot understand what you are trying to achieve as you will still have an O2 contract and number and your old o2 number on anther Network why?

23rd of Nov?
Yesterday it was 4th of Dec, earlier today 15th Dec, what are they doing at O2?
We need to speak to the CEO or what to get a common date?

23rd Nov? It's funny, most of the dates I've been given have been Mondays (and they've sometimes said "week beginning" as an afterthought...). I wonder what is going on. Do we think it's just a shortage of stock, or a rush perhaps to get the newest firmware onto the handsets?
I personally can't imagine the O2 engineers being that 'hands on'.

Incidentally, I don't seem to have a record of just how long I've been waiting for O2 on this, but it is at least a couple of months (I do know that I've been waiting for the phone itself for nearly a year...). When were you all promised this phone?
