I can't see it meaning anything other than Dual Cores, pretty good name to have for such a phone.
Obviously the phone is in development, when it appears is a different story. Announced in October, launched in Q1 with Ice Cream?

i hope i'll be wrong but, i think announcement of xperia duo will be after nexus 4g just like last year nexus S came before xperia arc. But again, i am more than welcome to be wrong
