@Myth

Sorry Myth but I just tried writing a text using the keypad, vitual keyboard and the the qwerty keys and everytime I put a full stop w/o space there was no capitalisation but everytime I put a space w/o pause I got the capital letter.

All this was done with auto capitalization turned on.

@avw

The space after full stop is required in any case. Otherwise autocap won't work.

I have still R5 which has problem with Edit before call as following:
1. Only FO mode/ Calls has this feature.
2. Only new digits could be appended or deleted one digit at a time starting from the last digit. There is no cursor and there is no way to add/edit some digit at the beginning of phone number. That is, it is impossible to add an access code for IDD/DDD call or add country/area code before the existing called numbers.
3. If the phone number is deleted completely then the phone exits edit mode.

Could someone please check if R6 still has the same problem. Thanks.

Come on ...

I removed my flip so I only run FO mode... and there I cannot find any "edit before call" feature with R6... where do you have it in R5?

Many greetings

@Dominique:
To reach "Edit before call", open call history and scroll down to any number and then bring down the pull-down menu, select "Edit" and then "Edit before call".

@BBS:
Edit before call can be reached both in FC and FO modes. Still the same restrictions on how to edit though. You can't add/remove digits in the middle of a phone number. Also, deleting the last digit still exits edit mode.

Thanks AbuBasim for the reply. SE is mad to provide such function only by name - it is entirely useless. I have been using this function from Ti68i and after several years SE is going downhill. After all I assume SE's flagship smart phone is already sunk.

Not in my case because I don't see any restriction at all. I can edit any digit of any phone number as I wish without exit or similar. Also editing is user friendly and can be done using left-right arrow and num keypad.
Note:My P990 is without the flip.

Ah yes, the left and right arrow keys do indeed work in FO mode. I assume that this is not intentionally so by SE. Otherwise they would have added a cursor to show the current position within the phone number being edited.

Cursor is there so one can know what number would be deleted or on which position the number would be added.

Really? Are we still talking about "Edit before call"? I do not see a cursor on my phone when using this function. What theme do you use?

Edit: If I tap the number with the stylus, or twist the jog wheel up or down, a cursor appears . . . And if a cursor is visible, the whole number can be deleted without exiting edit mode.
