Which is why Duo needs to make an impression. if its just 1 Ghz, then its dead even before launch. If the rumours about 1.4 ghz, 12 mp with xenon flash etc are true, then it's worth it, provided they manage to get it to the market soon

The Nova A9540 from ST-ERICSSON

built in 32nm, uses a dual-core Cortex-A9 running at up to 1.8 GHz and delivers graphics performance up to four times that of the U8500 and is sampling H2 2011.

So what?
What's happening to Nova A9540 ? Is it going to be used by SE?

i keep reading on this forum that sony ericsson will be using ST-Ericsson chips in their forthcoming phones but has there been any official announcement?

every phone SE has announced this year uses snapdragon. do we have any kind of proof that this will change in the future?

Without any official announcement from SE, it's hard to imagine them using ST-Ericsson chips, especially since they already have an agreement with Qualcomm.
It'll be hard to see them using other chips for the 3 years they've signed it for, unless it's not an exclusive agreement.

qualcomm it is for the forseeable future. really hoping their upcoming dual-core is the 28nm krait variety but doesn't seem likely with an end of the year release.
