I take this opportunity to ask you a couple of questions?
What is/was/will going on with the O2 P990?
Whay O2 has released it in Germany (http://shop2.o2online.de/nw/produkte/handys/allehandys/details/index.html?salesChannel=SHOP&articleId=4530+000266+00&tariffCode=O-GEN-H-F&duration=24&categoryId=1120) and not in the Uk?
I am not sure whether you will be able to answer but please tell us what you know and possibly forward our frustration to your very senior collegues at O2.

Hi unfortunatly i haven't been able to find out was is going on with the p990.
Allthough o2 germany trades under the o2 brand it is classed as a seperate business alltogether so their decision to launch the p990 would of been a different one to o2 uk.
I have been checking the stock updates on a daily basis when i am in work so if there are any more changes i will post asap.

I called O2 week in week out and went 66mins over my free mins....they charged me around £27 for this.
I then worked out that 55mins of that time was spent on the phone to them being lied to every Monday morning.
Same old rubbish, components, testing blah blah blah now I am told 4th December.
My advice, get a W950i off O2, sell it on ebay for £350 and buy a P990i Sim Free. They offered me 500mins and 900sms for £20 a month over 12 months with the W950i for £99 which was not bad given their usual refusal to budge.
What is more amusing that if you call online sales on 0870 225 7879 posing as a new customer, they clearly state O2 are not getting that phone in, ever (I've tried them 3 times to be told the same thing).
So, O2 spin you a yarn for 3 months and get 3 months additional subscription from you!
I had a P800/900/910 and got a 990 on Orange for a couple of weeks just to make sure I liked it. Only problems I have are 1) the new OS behaves like windows in that apps don't auto close so every time I go to launch TOMTOM it comes up with "not enough memory" and I have to go into task manager and close everything down. 2) 5-way jog dial is missed so much, even the old CMD-Z5 I am using today has a 5-way jog.
Other than that it's great - just bought a Vodafone branded one, unlocked and still sealed off ebay for £285 - and I've seen them going for less!

Er really?!? Anyone else got anything to say about this? I'll be really annoyed if I've waited all this time for nothing....
