are you sure?
well, i can fully agree with whole driver modding and then make the code public - this isn't good. but what about "taking parts"? what exactly you mean writing "parts" - couple of displaced lines of code? ideas like SVR with/without credits? anything else?

to be honest, if this is true then IMHO this is very bad decision

Driver is in alpha state. There is no point to modificate it. So, please, be patient.

When it will be released u ll get u want.

actually i'm not interested at all i finished episode called "modding" some time ago. all i want to say is that modding conception is based on common goods that's why i'm a bit surprised that someone "forbid taking parts" of the code. i hope that's because of alpha state and final release will be free in this matter

What i meant is that sport mode looks so shit in any bad light, i'm assuming it will be the same for video that acts like sport mode, i wanted to know if night mode would still work normally incase i wanted to film in bad light with something close to the original nightmode, it has nothing to do with the FPS when it comes to that.

Anyway, nice new driver, i'm hoping that it oneday will be combined with the 2.7 driver's day pictures and the 2.53 driver's night pictures. with permission ofcource.

yes, camdriver code should be free for everyone to mod,
but i suppose Sonarik wants us to wait his driver get stable,
well... thats my guess.

Hi there,

there's a new driver release (by Chris):

release e/ 16 10 2007
1. VR is set to CONSTANT 24 fps
when the light is poor, fps rate STAYS to 24 fps.
(NO OTHER modifications, all is from original driver)

The code is NO steal from Sonarick( just look into it if you dont believe me).
Of course studying Sonarick mod helped me a lot, but i did my own.

measured CONTANT fps :
Frame rate : 23.953 fps
Minimum frame rate : 8.065 fps
Maximum frame rate : 27.778 fps

This mode is enabled BY DEFAULT when recording video.
(No need to go into special mode, or else !)

This is the only modification. All the rest of code is strictly genuine from Sony.
