Hmmm . . . maybe I'll stick with my original plan of 'kidnapping' her while going home waiting for the taxi . . . then, she's all mine - no more need for the S700 and all that, it will just be 'cheapest/thriftiest' form of marriage!

Surely he must see her out and about. Wait until after 5 minutes after work, and just "happen" to bump into her. Do it on a day when you've been to the bank so you are sure she will recognise you, and thank her for her help earlier, then say "fancy a drink sometime?" or something like that.
